Coolest Road Trip Stop—Literally! ❄🚗

After our first long drive in our new car from Zamboanga to Dapitan, we wrapped up the journey with a spontaneous detour to Snow World inside Fantasy Island—and wow, was it worth the extra day’s wait (they were closed on Mondays). Anticipation built, and when we finally stepped in... it was freezing, magical, and unlike anything we expected to find in this part of the Philippines.

Our little one was hesitant at first—tiny hands gripping mine, unsure of the icy temps and animatronic creatures lurking in the frosty glow. But within minutes, the wonder kicked in. From nervous steps to giggles echoing across frozen zones, he was hooked—especially when we reached the photo zone with the towering furry mammoth (definitely a highlight!).

Snow World alone is enough reason to visit, but Fantasy Island brings more to the table: thrilling rides, fun souvenir shops, themed cafĂ©s, and family-friendly entertainment. One surprise we really appreciated as Muslim travelers? A halal-friendly resto inside the park—something we don’t often find in non-Muslim majority cities. Big points for inclusivity!

We also gave the electric go-karts a go—simple, but tons of fun, especially for bonding with my wife and travel buddy. The day wrapped up with a lively stage play and a colorful evening parade that brought extra life to the park. For first-timers, it was more than we expected.

No bookings, no hassle—we walked in and were greeted by helpful staff and promo packages that gave great value for our spontaneous visit.

Final verdict? Snow World and Fantasy Island are the kind of cool, charming detours that turn good road trips into unforgettable ones. If you’re in Dapitan, don’t miss...

The room is decorated with all sorts of statues, it also has a slide and a restaurant underneath the slide. Overall still fun...
