Kan-anan — Restaurant in Zamboanga del Norte

Had dinner there a couple of nights ago. Ate about 7:00 and the place was about half full. The barbecued chicken wasn’t bad but firing my meal a large rat sauntered across the floor in the middle of the busy restaurant. Waitresses noticed the rat and just ignored it as it foraged under the tables amid diners feet. A minute later another large rat, this one looking diseased and ill slowly walked across the dining room floor. Again the staff ignored it despite it being in the open. Kan-anan is one of my favorite places to eat in Dapitan. You can choose fresh seafoods and cook them according to your wanting.

Pork and Chicken BBQ are likewise bestsellers.

The resto also stands just accross the Sunset Boulevard. Dining here in the afternoon will give you a good spot to behold the famous sunset of Zamboanga del Norte.

However, since the area is not airconditioned, you will certainly sweat out while dining here. The smoke of the BBQ stand will also leave a smokey smell in your clothes.

They serve one thing here, BBQ. They have open grill and serve BBQ chicken, pork and fish all with rice. No menu, since that's it! They seem to have good business as we were there mid-week and there was decent crowd. Place is somewhat clean, although tables need better wipe down. Also, like several places here, if you want a cold soda,, bring your own ice!
