A casual walk through history. Westerplatte is a wonderful place to explore on a sunny afternoon. The monuments are worth the trip. The majority of the area is on flat, level pavement. However, there are a few steps that would make having strollers or wheelchairs a little difficult. Additionally, to get to the main memorial, there are quite a few steps up an incline. The memorial is still wonderful at ground level, however, to get up close I would assess the area prior to making the hike! Free parking as well with some local vendors along the way....

It was absolutely freezing and we were told that the museum was closed so we were stuck waiting outside. I would recommend that if you want to come here you should do so in High Summer but really it's just a big statue. Bus stop could do with a serious renovation and things need to be signposted...
