It has an impressive mix of activities however strongly advise getting the second day €10 offer as there's too much to do in one visit.
The queues for most rides are very long 45 mins - 1hr (most offer shade while queueing). The shows are good (Dolphin being the best) recommend arriving for a seat about 20 minutes before start time or you'll either be standing or have to walk out due to the staff letting in way too many people.
Offers lockers, sunbeds, plenty of green space for your own towel and sunbrella set ups too, lots of eateries onsite. Beware of height restrictions for children. Some rides let you ride with them others won't let them ride full stop. (Average was about 1.1m for supervised ride)
Overall it's a great destination. However we were limited due to our pre-ordered bus ride which added stress onto the day to get out of the park on time. Think the bus left two passengers behind. And due to the queue lengths and how busy it was we didn't get much done.
We probably would have booked the second cheap day but were returning home the following day so missed out. I'd also suggest going by Taxi or Uber (Uber is great out here). You can then come and go when you want. But just beware if everyone leaves the park at 7pm (when it closes) expect to wait.
Our day: Arrived 10:30 via pre ordered bus 🚌 Entered 10:50 queued to enter park and people had problems with their pre-booked tickets. (but still entered) Went straight to Dolphin show at 11:00, left as no seats or space to stand available. Did kids train ride 11:10 🚂 Went to pirate show 11:25 (got good seats but still lots of people there before us) 11:45 pirate show started ☠️ 12:10 went to Seals show (just about got seats in the baking sun)🥵 12:20 Seal show started. 🦭 12:50 went to buy some lunch, spent €26 for two kids and two adults on drinks and sandwiches (pretty average for theme park prices) 🧉🥪 13:05 Went to dolphin show (got good seats) 13:30 dolphin show started, first half is a look after the planet / sea talk. Second half is the fun dolphin jumping and doing tricks part. 🐬 14:00 Got kids changed into swim wear 14:10 Went to queue for lazy river. 14:25 Got into lazy river - very pleasant experience, life guards were funny. 14:35 went to queue up for double ring slide thing. 15:20 got on double ring ride. 15:30 went to queue for Jurassic River (Dino water ride) 15:45 gave up once we saw the (hour queue marker 10 minutes in. 15:50 queued for big 4 way race slide 16:20 got changed for journey home 16:30 did one last kids train ride as no queue for that one. 16:40 got ice cream and drinks for journey home. 🍦 16:55 met bus and had to be an evil parent and throw away kids ice creams as they weren't allowed to be eaten on bus. 🤦♂️ 17:00 left for the hotel. 👍
It's 3 stars as we had a long day and didn't achieve much. The Zoomarine bus wasn't a highlight. The cheap second day ticket feels like their way of acknowledging they let too many people through the door per day...
Read moreZoomarine. Pay or leave. I have three children, and we have been to many parks. From Disneyland in California, Florida, and Paris to Loro Park in Tenerife. We remember all of our visits with great pleasure and a desire to return. But Zoomarine turned out to be a complete disappointment. It all started right at the park entrance. I was with my wife and son, who is 4 years old. My son is exactly 1 meter tall. There was a height chart at the ticket office, and the cashier measured my son and gave us a free ticket. But at the turnstiles, the women, in the best traditions of the bureaucrats of the former USSR, were relentless. My son was wearing shoes that added 1 centimeter to his height. They measured his height with a stick and were unyielding. At 1 meter and 1 centimeter tall, the female administrator told me that she didn't care, either pay for the child or leave. If I had known what awaited us, I would have returned the tickets and left, but I thought, okay, maybe if a ticket for a child 1 meter tall costs the same as an adult ticket, it means there is a lot of entertainment for a child of that height. No. 90% of the attractions start at 1 meter 10 centimeters, and in the end, you pay the full price of a ticket for the child, but he can't go anywhere. It would be logical to start this price at 1.10 meters, wouldn't it? At the very beginning, there are beautiful fish and an interesting dolphin show, but then one disappointment after another. Want a locker? Pay another €7. Want a sun lounger? Pay another €15! Considering that you've already bought a ticket, this is very strange! The staff at the attractions are almost all hungover, rude, and obnoxious. We work here, we just want to relax, and you all keep coming. We found one of the five attractions where we could go with our son, riding on a flashere tube on the water. When we rode one lap, the administrator literally shook us and our son out of the flashere, saying that we had to get out and get back in because the line shouldn't have to wait. But there wasn't even a line! The girl on the Ferris wheel was just sleeping with her face on the control panel while we were riding, and on the beach with artificial waves, we were forbidden to put a ring on our child, saying that if he couldn't swim, then we should leave, because rings weren't allowed. Although the rules say that flashers aren't allowed, there's nothing written about rings. And the food, which costs as much as in a restaurant, was like in a station snack bar. Cold and tasteless. As a result, we were able to go on four rides, but the fifth one, which we really wanted to go on, Jurassic River, was closed. It was a complete disappointment, and I have no desire to return to this park, even for free. I strongly advise...
