Restaurante O Ribeirinho — Restaurant in Albufeira

Visited yesterday for the 5th or 6th time. Last time I was here was 3 years ago. The chicken is still the best I've ever had. I have told countless people about how it's the best chicken I've ever had in the world. In the past they have showed us the kitchen and how they make it, even gave everyone in our party free t-shirts.

This last visit, we were so excited about going, we had to take 2 buses to get there and then an Uber back...yes just for the chicken. We were seated right away, ordered without even needing the menu. Food came and it was amazing. Didn't disappoint... however...

The service was not what I had been used to. The waiter wasn't very friendly which I can deal with because it seems to be the norm in Portugal. He never checked in on us during the meal, we had wanted some salt and hot sauce and the food runner said we had to ask our waiter.

20 minutes after finishing he finally showed up and we ordered some additional food and a dessert and asked for the check, took an Uber back to Portimao.

This wasn't the service we were previously used to. It won't deter us from coming back, but I might not recommend as often if I had...

Restaurante O Ribeirinho is a hidden gem. Located away from the hustle and bustle and hidden behind a cluster of trees, this restaurant is something special.

I had the great pleasure of visiting the restaurant recently and was blown away by the quality of the food, the remarkable service, and the inviting atmosphere. Each step of the way, from menu suggestion to payment, was swift, friendly, and professional.

You won't be disappointed! I wish I could eat more chicken! It is one of the best Portuguese Chicken Restaurant in the area!

Thu at 7pm, there was few big and small tables already. We thought we would be the first one as the restaurant was just reopened at 7pm in the evening!

Two people ordered 1/2 chicken each ( spicy and no spicy), shared tomato salad & bread. We didn't want to be too full. Normally we had the same size of portions plus fries at another restaurant but we couldn't finish. so we skipped fries this time. It was enough for two. We would prefer the spicy one. It wasn't too spicy so we both liked it.

Plus a bottle of still water & 1/2 bottle of red, it was 23 euro. Good value!

When we left at almost 8pm, the restaurant was more than half full. We will definitely return for another...
