Remains of the castle show a standing wall and a door. You can walk on top of the door. It is nice to know that after D. Afonso Henriques conquered this castle it was never lost even after several siege attempts. This was an extremely hard place to attack.

This is one gorgeous little ruin! It's right in the middle of some serious wine country, so the surrounding area is absolutely pristine, with stellar views. A bonus was just how friendly the locals were 😊 enjoy exploring this gorgeous little city!

Muy interesante es un castillo aparte de muy bien conservado muy interesante y con visitas turísticas muy completas para pasar un sábado o un día de visita con compañía si a uno le interesa la historia de Portugal de su época feudal . Osea si se decide uno es para una visita inolvidable si te gustan las actividades a laire libre con compañía al mismo tiempo que se visita al castillo ya es para recordar porque está tal cual como si nunca jamás se hubiese entrado nadie a visitarlo ,se ve que para el castillo no passan los años, Porque está tal cual como lo dejaron los anteriores dueños o inquilinos. Posdata vale la pena visitarlo siempre y cuando Á la visita se realizará con su guía turístico
