Nice River beach. Lots of open space and water running fluidly. It was a very busy space but I was still able to find a good spot to relax and go for a dip. Also there was a little spot (bar) to have a drink and something to eat if needed. Clean place and also with a lifeguard if needed. Recommended for family fun or solo relaxing.

Lovely river beach great for children to swim at A great bar /restaurant over the road that serves quality food and regularly has live music and a free park up for campervans Also a lovely riverside walk to waterfall at Urtigal Highly recommend

What a gem of a place! A beautiful river beach with good facilities: sun shaders, bar, toilets, even massage services! We were surprised by how warm the water was. Great place to spend a day. Super kid-friendly.

Amazing place to visit. There are toilets and food available. The river beach is clean and refreshing. Beautiful scenery and great for all ages. Little kids absolutely loved playing in the shallow water areas and seeing the waterfalls. Bigger kids and adults had great fun jumping and diving off the waterfall wall into the water. Lifeguards...

I love this beach is large sandy beach, nice and calm. It is river so the water is super cold, but very clean. The restaurant lagar do alva has Portuguese traditional food to eat and die for! Home cooked and super tasty. The appetisers are also of high quality, variety and super tasty! The home made sangria is also the best I ever...
