Varandas do Alva — Restaurant in Arganil

Very slow service, we ordered a starter that didn't come. My friend ordered a vongele with spaghetti, it came out with penne, they tried to get us to take it home with us, to which we refused and they eventually knocked it off the bill.

The service was poor, we had a young waitress, who thought rolling her eyes at my friend, who merely enquired about a sauce, and making cut throat gestures to her colleague after leaving our table, was an acceptable and appropriate.

I eat here for the first time this evening. The food was lovely and the portions were huge even though we are big eaters we couldn't finish our meal. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was bright and airy which is great. I found the prices reasonable especially as the quality of the food was very good. The sauce that came with my spicy turkey breast was yummy 😋. And the best bit is I have found a Portuguese restaurant that knows how to serve salad with a dressing. Highly recommend that if you are in the Coja area you give them a visit. Will definitely be going back. Great food, great service,...

Our first visit and won't be the last! We chose the Valentine's Day special menu. It was delicious and amazing value. 4 courses, starter, fish, meat , dessert, coffee and glass of fizz for 2 people for only €30! The service was also great. Well done Varandas do Alva!
