As you make your way onto the skywalk, prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking panoramic views that unfold before your eyes. The platform hovers 580 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, providing uninterrupted vistas of the rugged coastline, sparkling blue waters, and the lush green landscape of Madeira.

Walking on the transparent glass floor can be an adrenaline-pumping experience, especially for those who have a fear of heights. But rest assured, the structure is designed with safety in mind, and the transparent panels allow you to fully immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of the surroundings.

Cabo Girão Skywalk is not only about the thrill of standing on the edge of a cliff; it also offers a deeper connection with nature. Take a moment to appreciate the raw power of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks below, and marvel at the sheer grandeur of the cliffs stretching out into the horizon.

Photography enthusiasts will find endless opportunities to capture stunning shots from this vantage point. The changing light throughout the day adds an extra dimension to the landscape, creating a mesmerizing canvas for your photographs.

Whether you're seeking an adrenaline rush, a unique perspective, or simply a memorable experience, Cabo Girão Skywalk delivers it all. Step out onto the edge and let the breathtaking views take your breath away, leaving you with memories that will...

Miradouro do Cabo Girão is a stunning cliff-top lookout located in Câmara De Lobos, Madeira Island, Portugal. This Miradouro is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, standing at a height of 580 meters (1,903 feet) above sea level, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding countryside.

The Miradouro do Cabo Girão has a unique feature that attracts many visitors - the glass-floored platform that extends over the cliff's edge. Walking on this platform gives you a surreal feeling of floating above the sea. This attraction is not for the faint-hearted, but it's an incredible experience for adventure lovers and anyone who wants to take Instagram-worthy photos.

The Miradouro do Cabo Girão is easily accessible, and visitors can drive or take a bus to the site. The location also has ample parking space, and the entrance is free of charge. There are also several restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, where visitors can purchase local crafts and sample traditional Madeira Island cuisine.

Overall, Miradouro do Cabo Girão is a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Madeira Island. The stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the glass-floored platform make it a unique and memorable experience that visitors will never forget. It was a spectacular view and quite an experience, where we stopped during our Jeep safari trip. It's good value and the children's entry is free up to 12 years too. The only gripe I have was paying to use the toilets. We had no problem at all and Mum and myself didn't see upon entering how much it was, to be greeted with rudeness!! However some of the loos didn't flush and they were broken, which I pointed out to the woman who wasn't bothered and she was extremely rude! Saying they did flush! She mouthed in Portuguese I'm stubborn and a few words I understood, I just couldn't be bothered as you didn't listen to me. I was questioning whether the money would be going towards the upkeep of the toilets, or just to take our money! Not even a thank you! So Rude! I noticed she was rude to another woman who unlike us didn't realise the charge. I wasn't trying to be difficult, but I was disgusted by the state of them. Although a small charge, we were happy to pay it. So just be aware she's not the most friendliest! Apart from this beautuful location and the lady was very helpful on the ticket payment and entry. Better to use card payment then...

Things to do in Madeira, Portugal (save and share this post): I spent 6 amazing days in Madeira, Portugal and it is by far my most favorite European destination. The island has such a diverse landscape and the weather is mild year round. Here’s my itinerary! Day 1: Pool day at my hotel (NEXT Hotel) for most of the day and then I went running up the crazy hills of Madeira to see Funchal by foot. Day 2: I explored the NW part of the island visiting Seixal Beach, Ponto Moniz, Fanal Forest and Ilheus da Ribeira da Janela. Day 3: I went on a sidecar adventure where I explored Valley of the Nuns, the Cabo Girão Skywalk, and the fishing town of São Pedro. I booked this on Airbnb experiences and will link it in my Madeira stories, it was an amazing tour. Day 4: Whale and dolphin watching tour but we only saw dolphins. In the evening I did an Airbnb Experience at a locals farm house where he cooked a great dinner where 90% of the items were picked directly from his gardens that day. He also taught us how to make poncha, a favorite local drink. Day 5: I toured the SE part of the island visiting Ponta do Garajau, Monte Palace, and ended the day at the most beautiful views from Pico do Arieiro (the videos of me on the clouds). Day 6: I watched the sunrise from Miradouro Ponto do Rosto and then did an 8 mile hike of Levado do Caldeirão Verde. After the hike I relaxed at the pool! If you want photos taken in Madeira I recommend @robframing. Madeira was everything and I don’t see it dropping out of my top 5 international destinations anytime soon. Have you been to Madeira? If not does this video make you want to visit? #madeiraportugal #uniquedestinations #travelreels

Don’t miss these places in the NW of Madeira… 🏝️😍🇵🇹 If you’re coming to Madeira I definitely recommend a jeep tour around the North East of the island, we booked ours with @getyourguide, thanks to their cancellation policy we were even able to move the day we’d originally booked to a sunnier one ☀️ We got to visit some of the top places in Madeira like Seixal beach, Fanal Forest and Porto Moniz, as well as the Cabo Girão Skywalk, Sao Vicente and Ponta do Sol. All whilst being driven round in the cutest yellow jeep! Perfect for passenger princess’s and photo lovers 😉 After nearly getting our car stuck on a hill and having several close calls with buses we were definitely happy to not drive and relax for the day! 😮‍💨 The best kind of road trip? When you don’t have to drive 😂🚙 Book your next unforgettable experience with @getyourguide 🫶🏼 #getyourguidepartner #unforgettablememories . . . . #madeira #madeiraisland #visitmadeira #uktravelblogger #adventuretravel #travelvlog
