Casa Museu João Vieira — Attraction in Chaves

On a slightly rainy day in August we dragged my 16 and 23 year old cousins to this museum- honestly, they weren't thrilled about going to a museum. We were kindly given a guided tour and the tour guide (unfortunately I don't know his name) was so knowledgeable, funny and charismatic that we all ended up loving it. It was the highlight of our holiday, even for those that didn't really want to go. We spoke about the guided tour for days after and learnt so much from him.

The museum itself is small and very affordable (a few euros each), our guided tour was in Portuguese but unsure if it's available in other languages. We spent about 2 hours there with the tour but otherwise you could probably see the museum in 30mins-1hr. My only criticism is that I wish they had a shop where I could buy a few prints of the art.
