If you follow the maps, it won’t take you directly there. You need to turn by the cemetery, park, and then go down a long set of stairs (be prepared, they are long). There are no toilets, just a small shop selling a few drinks.
It’s only really worth the trip if you can swim, as the water gets very deep past the rocks with no warnings about where it drops off. Definitely something to be aware of.
It’s nice enough for an hour or two, but there isn’t much to do or see. My kids got bored quickly — I didn’t let them go in the water as it felt too risky, even though my 10-year-old can swim (my other is 7). For us, 2 hours there was more...
Read moreThe reason this place gets mixed reviews is the time of the year people visit it and the amount of water in the pond under the waterfall. Yes, it’s not gigantic :) But it’s hard to believe that it’s there. The area around Super taken care of. Nice green loan, wooden boardwalk, nice path leading to the place. Not much to see in my opinion. We only stayed around 30 minutes. The bins were full, around 10 families having a barbecue, there’s a rusty, graffiti building there which I gather used to be a cafe? We climbed up the wooden staircase and the car park was full with cars everywhere. We walked up into the old village which was quaint but most shops closed as it was Sunday. There’s a well looked after Donkey as you walk up on the left with a well...
