A Cataplana — Restaurant in Loulé

Beautiful landscape and view from restaurant is spectacular. I drove from Portimao to try a local Cataplana at Alte. It was a mix of pork, calm and on top shrimp. Good taste but the pork was very very dry and hard to even catch by fork. We were 4 lady and shared same food and we all had same view about meet. Table service and cleanliness absolutely nice. I was also grateful as my Lille dog got to be inside in his case on the floor near to me if he would be quiet as he is of course. Thanks for the hospitality🐶. Amazing food and view coupled with great service. Google reservations shows all booked out but it's not true. Just call then go. Once you enter, Drive to the right and go up the ramp to reach the closest parking spot. I had the wild boar stew special and my wife had the grilled chicken. Both were excellent. The table next to us had the black pig skewer hanging vertically to slice it yourself. It looked amazing unlike the boring kabobs we often get in USA. We went 3 times in 3 weeks One of the best restaurants in Portugal since we arrived 2 months ago We were all impressed with the Black pork skewer, the steaks, the grilled cod, chicken. That’s why we went back 3 times. The food was delicious and very reasonable in price. Excellent deserts. The veggies were so tasty. Awesome mountain top view.
