Parque Adão Barata — Attraction in Loures

Nice little city park with plenty of green areas and trekking possibilities.

They have an annual competition on liberty day 25th of April and apparently there was a world Guinness record break for the world's most cooked snails.

Didn't take a picture but it's a good opportunity to go there and see for yourself. 😉

It's a fine example of what other public parks should look like. It has two distinct places for little kids to play, a skate park, a soccer field, roads to run or walk and some devices to make exercises, not to mention that there's also some good restaurants and snack-bars to hang out, eat some food and have a drink. Nice park, well maintained, lacks a couple more benches along the way. During several times of the year it has themed markets like Christmas or summer festivities. It has playground for kids, another for dogs, a place to play football and a large green field and is surrounded by a couple cafes...
