Natural public swimming pool

5 stars for the beach 1 star for the disgusting facilities. If we all pay a tourist tax where is the money going? There is one disgusting bathroom, no lights that's completely drenched in water. The changing rooms that are only two and really gross. I feel bad for locals for having their beautiful beach taken over by tourists and in the off-season. They don't even get nice facilities to use from all the money that tourists bring in. For such a gorgeous, unique Beach, they really need to up their game and invest in some public facilities. When we were on our way to Porto Moniz, we stopped here to see the swimming pool and the beach. The view from the top is super beautiful. That's why we decided to stop here.

You must drive the car carefully because the road is challenging. There is a parking area where you can park for free. The wave of the beach was too high during our visit. You need to be careful while swimming.

Unique place to swim! Two sets of stairs lead down to this swimming hole and there's also a small diving/jumping platform. There are a few fish and the waves feed the pools over the rocks at high tide. As it's quite deep it's also quite cold. You could easily go back and forth from the beach to the pool.
