This is my childhood beach and this review is 100% biased!
It is much safer going down nowadays! But back in the day we had to jump over gaps of missing walkway! No rope! Carrying a cooler and 20 umbrellas!
Pro: private! Still a secretA technically 3 beaches if you are brave enough to climb some more cliff when you get to the bottom! amazing waves! great sand! Amazing sand castle and hole potential! tons of rocks to build fake forts kid friendly! If you are safe getting them down! I took my 5 year old no issue! He had a blast!
Con: it's the altantic ocean! It's freezing you might die on the way down!

You can start from Praia do Magoito (another beautiful beach that I recommend you visit, taking bus 444 from Portela of Sintra) and cross the coast by trail to get to Praia da Aguda. I recommend comfortable shoes and a hat (the wind can be very strong there) When you reach Praia da Aguda you just need to walk for 5/7 minutes to reach the bus stop or book a taxi
