Nice and grand looking hotel but upkeep is lagging and NOT professionally done, may be due to COVID-19 closure. We spent 2 night at this hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable but detail cleaning was NOT thorough as spider web and dust could be found inside the drink cabinet and carpet. Be forewarned after inserting your hotel card in your room the TV will automatically ON and the sound was quite loud, sound like a music theme from 'Avatar' the movie (Actually advert on the Hotel and surrounding attraction) that may frighten one whom is checking in at late night. They no longer serve buffet but only pre-ordered choice from menu set (A or B - Western or Local). We had the Bee Hoon Soup and Sausage on the first day and on the second day we had Beef Bacon and Nasi Lemak Ayam. The food was bland or tasteless (Bee Hoon Soup) and the Nasi Lemak looks like it's an over night food. The western food set was acceptable. Again, this may due to less crowd or guest. This hotel don't provide housekeeping for 2 night stay and will do housekeeping if 3 nights stay. Even with this less crowd or guest, we request for extra Body Shampoo, fresh bath towels and toilet rolls but the front desk (morning) forgot to ask housekeeping personnel to replenished them for us. But upon request from the night duty front desk personnel, he was fast and offered to fulfill our request. In a jiffy, they hv sent our items to our room with extra (complimentary drinking waters and tea & coffee sachets). A few great staff but unfortunately housekeeping team need to buff up on their cleaning and staff need to record down on hotel guest request so that they don't forget easily. The walkway especially the roofing need to be replaced to give protection from rain or strong sunshine to carpark. This is a need to be attended immediately. If well upkeep, staff re-training and improved food quality then this hotel may get back it's former grandeur, 5-star rating and be the top hotel in Wilayah and Selangor once more.

Me and my friend checked in around 5:30pm on 14th January. We came here to see the pink mosque the next morning and fly out. After our arrival we went to the pool which has a view but the water is not very clean. Black debris was seen in the pool all over. I’m not sure what that is. The double-bed room we booked was spacious, although the facilities were old but the ceiling was high and there was a view of the mosque. We only stay here for one night so even though there were issues here and there, we didn’t really care too much( dirty rug, dusty/sandy desktop and the drainage is very slow) However, by the night when we were going to take our beds, we found that the beds were filthy. Not one but both our beds seemed uncleaned with footprints, blood stains, big yellow marks(looks like urinate but I'm not sure and some other things. They were on our bedsheets and pillowcases. It seemed to us that they didn’t change the bedsheets before we moved in. I called the front desk, they send someone over a few minutes later. The stuff explained that it was due the malfunction of their washing machines sometimes the sheets were not cleaned but that didn’t sound like a proper excuse. The first pillowcase he brought still had big pink stains on it and he had to go back to fetch some new ones. We waited for 30-40mins at 2am for him to change our sheets and pillowcases. We asked to see their manager, the stuff told us we can see him tomorrow but we waited 20mins at the front desk the next morning, the manger didn’t show up. We had a flight to catch so we can't wait any longer. The front desk man told us their manager will contact us through email later and ask me to leave my email to them, but we never got any email from the hotel. So all in all, we couldn't recommend this hotel. But if you really like to try your luck, I suggest you to ask them change your bedspread in front of your face before you sleep on it.

27/7/24, Saturday, 9am: Stayed for 2 nights. It was a pleasant stay. My family enjoyed it. The staff are very helpful and polite. Kids love the buggy used to commute from the parking lot to the hotel entrance! Adults enjoyed it too but did not show it.. haha. Yes.. the parking is about 70 to 100 metres from the hotel entrance. No issue walking also from parking to the entrance with light luggage. The revolving door at the entrance.. my kids are also liking it. Oh.. Taman Putra Perdana.. the one they call the secret garden with the lights etc.. is just next to the hotel! You can walk to it downhill and it was a good experience.. free of charge and the surrounding and trees were beautifully lighted but that is another story elsewhere. In summary, the hotel location is just next to one of the popular location in Putrajaya. The room is also nice. I like it. True.. some furniture are worn out but looks vintage and classic to me. The most important thing is that cleanliness is there. Muslim friendly rating 4/5. Sejadah and kiblat direction clearly stated. Maybe can move towards sustainability and 3R initiatives. Plastic water bottles provided. The only thing that i propose to have at the hotel is a convenience shop coupled with gift shop maybe. The location of the hotel is on top of a hill.. and going to the nearest convenience shop is a hassle to hotel might consider having on at site.. so hotel user can purchase say toiletaries, snacks, drinks, ice creams etc. Oh.. i love the logo. PG.. looks simple but elegant. Muslim friendly rating: ✅ Tandas duduk pakai water hose instead of bidet ✅ Ada provide Sejadah ✅ Kiblat direction jelas kat atas ceiling, not dalam closet or dalam laci kena buat treasure hunt nk cari ❌ Ada tunjuk / bagi waktu solat dlm bilik ❌ Ada effort untuk pelihara alam sekitar or 3R etc #pulsegrande

I would like to start by apologizing for the late review. My stay at the hotel was on December 28th and 29th, 2024 to celebrate my husband's birthday as a token of appreciation for him, and I wanted to share my experience. Book thru trip.com and request for complimentary birthday decoration. They fulfill the request for free :) First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, the front desk was incredibly accommodating. They allowed us to drop off our bags before heading to the parking area, which made things so much easier. The staff even helped us carry our bags to our room, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience right from the start. I also want to thank the cleaning staff and the pool attendant for ensuring that the pool area was well-kept and safe for us to enjoy. Additionally, I found this hotel to be very kid-friendly. It's a place where you can let your child walk around freely without the worry of strict rules or too many fragile items. The layout of the hotel, with minimal furniture or glass items, made it much more relaxed and comfortable for families. It was nice not to have to constantly worry about our little one’s safety, which made our stay even more enjoyable. As for the breakfast, while the food was good, I felt that the variety could have been a bit more exciting. The options were a little dull, and I would have appreciated more variety or some unique dishes to choose from to make it a bit more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with young children. The staff service and kid-friendly atmosphere made our stay pleasant and hassle-free. Thank you for the memorable stay, and I look forward to staying with you again and creating more sweet memories in the future.

Went there for company family day event. Only managed to check into the room around 6:30pm. Some others got it later. We were initially left standing around waiting for our rooms to be ready. Only later did they open a hall with complimentary coffee & juice. Either somebody demanded it or it was an afterthought? I don’t know. Either way, anxious kids were getting restless and parents were having a hard time keeping their kids calm. When we finally got our room it was not cleaned properly (there was rubbish & dust on the floor) and there were no fresh towels. Only used towels in the bathroom. We asked for fresh towels 5 times and we only got it late at night. The complimentary toiletries were not complete. Suspecting the room was not cleaned properly during Covid times, I pulled back the comforter and saw the bed sheets were not pulled straight like you’d normally find when entering your hotel room. It looked like it was hastily straightened and covered with the comforter. There were suspicious stains on the bed sheets. It’s not the old stubborn stain kind. It’s the “somebody had an accident” kind. Food was mediocre and not what you’d expect from a hotel like Pulse Grande. Quite bland actually. Coffee is separate from buffet spread and you have to pay extra for it, but actually you’d be better off without the coffee. The coffee tasted really bad. Like they used expired coffee beans had been kept in store for years or something. Whatever excuses the hotel may have (e.g., the hotel being understaffed or too many new staff not yet competent due to hotels reopening post-MCO), that is not the customers problem. The Pulse Grande failed to deliver. Full stop.

This was previously Shangri-la Hotel, so expected a 5 star accommodation and service as well. The first issue was the parking. It is situated about 300m from the hotel and the area lighting was quite bad. Eventhough there is a caddy service from the car park to the hotel, you need to drive through the lobby to ask them to send a caddy. It was quite dark at the car park and this was quite a scary experience. The lobby and front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. Thanks to front office duty manager Alif for providing an excellent service for us. Unfortunately, the room was a bit a let down. Needs extensive refurbishing as everything seems dated and tired. The standing shower area got flooded as the drain is clogged, the room area got wet as well when showered at the bath tub due to the window partition. Bedsheet and blankets were filthy and dirty. House keeping did a terrible job replacing them. The blanket was just flipped over in front of us and the dirty pillows that were on the floor was placed back on the clean bedsheet as he replaced the pillow case. However, the manager was very apologetic about the situation. The garden area and the surroundings were lovely. Nice for any photoshoots. Hotel needs a lot of improvement to get it back to the 5 star credentials.
