Review for Kidzania (Bronze Package)
I recently celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday at Kidzania, opting for their Bronze Package. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my honest review with other parents considering celebrating their child's birthday there.
One of the promised inclusions in the package was a cake with a printed image on it. However, I specifically requested a plain white cake and informed them multiple times that I would bring Frozen-themed cake toppers. Despite my clear instructions, on the day of the birthday party, I was shocked and disappointed to find a Black Forest cake instead. The staff simply apologized and suggested I speak with Mr. XYZ, the person I had been coordinating the package details with.
The following day - Sunday morning, I contacted Mr. XYZ to express my disappointment, and he claimed that he had informed their cake supplier of my request. He suggested that I raise a complaint, essentially placing the responsibility on me. However, I had already paid for the package in full, and it was Mr. XYZ who should have taken the initiative to address the issue with their supplier.
When I followed up on Monday, Mr. XYZ informed me that someone from customer service would call me. However, I never received any call. It wasn't until Thursday that I had to take matters into my own hands and contact the manager directly. She apologized for the situation and assured me that they would escalate the matter to upper management. As compensation, they offered my daughter another day at Kidzania free of charge. While I preferred a refund for the cake, I said I will consider their offer.
To my surprise, Mr. XYZ called me the same day and stated that I needed to return the uneaten cake to receive a refund. However, I had already informed him on Sunday that we hadn't eaten or cut the cake, and it had been kept in the fridge and I’m ready to return the cake on Sunday. Since nobody had contacted me about returning it, we eventually disposed of it on Tuesday. Mr. XYZ's argument that the cake needed to be returned for a refund seemed baseless and only served to further upset me.
At this point, I was already upset about the mishap with the cake being a Black Forest flavor for my daughter's birthday. Mr. XYZ's unfounded allegations regarding the cake's return only added insult to injury. I firmly expressed my dissatisfaction and informed them that I no longer wanted a refund or a free day at Kidzania. I couldn't engage in an argument over such groundless claims.
To date, Kidzania has not reached out to apologize for the entire ordeal. I find this lack of accountability and customer service deeply disappointing. Celebrating a child's birthday involves investing hard-earned money for their happiness, and it is disheartening when a lack of responsibility on the part of the staff shatters those expectations.
In light of my experience, I strongly advise AGAINST choosing Kidzania for your child's birthday celebration. It is not worth the potential sadness your child may experience and the disappointment you may endure. Instead, I recommend considering Kidsmondo at Mall of Qatar as an alternative. Their staff members are much nicer and kinder to kids, displaying a higher level of training in handling children with kindness and calmness.
Furthermore, I must note that although I took the package for 10 kids, none of the sections in Kidzania seemed capable of accommodating all 10 kids together at a time. The fire station and police station lacked sufficient uniforms, and the other sections only accepted a maximum of 4-5 kids at once. Additionally, the staff in these sections were rude to children, who simply wanted to have fun and are within the 3-5 age group .
In summary, my experience with Kidzania was disappointing and left me feeling let down. I hope my honest review helps others make an...
Read moreKidZania Doha is one of the places that I can call home. What else as a mum would I need more than seeing my kids having lots of fun in a safe, educational, joyful place and I can glimpse away without any worries?! Yet, when we go there I do not glimpse as I get astonished of how much my baby princess realky knows and learns❤️ I also wonder how much kids love is there in that place to be able to handle all these kids' stress with a smile and patience. Like I am the mum and I want to run away so how about those loving, caring and professional Zupers that deal with kids from different cultures in a super way like the one I always when we go there? There must be a vibe in that place that keeps everyone clam and happy. The vibe strats from the back office where these people have been fed that love to pour on our kids. So a big Zanks goes to the management and all teams behind the camera that help to get that smile I capture in my daughter's face 📸👍 Back to the place , it is a very happy place, through my 4 or 5 visits I have barely seen a kid crying even when they are in their worst modes, they want to play and explore rather than sleep for example or get grumpy.. There are a lot of professions that kids can act alike. They can be policemen, fire fighters, chefs, pilots, football players, engineers, nurses, doctors and many more. It is good to know what your kid really wants to be and see that proud look on their faces when they act like working 😍 they want to grow and we want them to grow and KidZania is the best place to make them learn about life,. They will be intoroduced to money literacy which is one of life's big lessons. They will also understand the importance of work. They will be happy feeling important and changing the world ❤️ Visit, have lots of fun and take lots of photos for memories that will hang on their minds...
Read moreMy kids absolutely loved this immersive experience and they were engaged for hours to an extent I haven’t seen in a while . The jobs are varied , fun and engaging and invites for imagination and inspiration . The service from the staff is outstanding, attentive and friendly . Which is why it’s a shame that they are some unforced errors which detracts from the overall experience .
First, we had booked a family pass but did not get vouchers or were told about the passports, which we first did after some hours . When we finally did get the vouchers after having asked about them, we learned that the meal tickets could only be traded in to either chicken nuggets or chicken burgers . Why not even a hot dog or some vegetarian option ? It was a bit difficult to understand why only two meals from the menu were options.
Second, the gifts you can ” buy” with the Kidzania money are so useless that it becomes pointless and really ends the experience on a sour note for the kids. It’s really not about the value of the items per se - if you increased the budget just slightly and thought a bit broader in terms of selection , the experience would become so much better . Or perhaps you could use it as an opportunity for marketing - buy Kidzania branded caps, t-shirts, necklaces, socks or whatever for the Kidzania money. The Peak-end rule of experience is a real thing , your venue would be world class if you just fixed these small issues . Nonetheless I can only recommend going to Kidzania , it really is a great experience aside from...
