Muzey Atom — Attraction in Ostankinsky District

The Atom Museum, dedicated to the rich and complex history of atomic energy in Russia, offers a unique and informative experience that captivates any visitor passionate about science and history. Despite its vast educational potential, the Atom Museum presents certain areas that could significantly enhance the visitor experience, especially for families with children and international tourists. Although officially a space open to all ages, including activities specifically designed for younger visitors, the environment does not feel particularly welcoming for children. During our visit, the staff repeatedly emphasized that the museum is not suitable for them, creating a sense of exclusion. This type of messaging can discourage families from exploring a topic that, while complex, is accessible to all ages thanks to the museum’s educational initiatives.

Even in the kids' area (which the staff repeatedly mentioned they didn't understand why it was there), there was excessive control. One staff member aggressively approached us to explain all the limitations for our children, making it clear that they should not visit this type of museum. This excessive control and negative attitude made it difficult for us to enjoy the visit as a family.

Additionally, as foreign visitors, we expected a warm welcome, especially considering that the museum was highly recommended by our Russian friends. However, we encountered a staff that, unfortunately, displayed a cold and dismissive attitude towards us. Despite approaching the museum with the utmost respect and genuine interest in learning, the lack of friendliness and attention made our experience less than satisfactory.

It is a shame that a museum as interesting and valuable as this one does not manage to offer an inclusive and welcoming environment for all its visitors. With some adjustments in staff training and a more friendly approach toward families and international visitors, the Atom Museum could become a benchmark of excellence in the museum field, not only for its content but also for its hospitality. Замечательное место. Посетили без экскурсии, но обязательно повторим посещения только уже с экскурсией.

Однако столкнулись с неприятной ситуацией при покупке билетов для детей. На кассе мы сообщили, что мы многодетные показали удостоверение. Нам пробили билеты со скидкой 50 руб. на человека и только потом сказали, что с картой Москвёнок у детей была бы 100% скидка. Но карты мы не взяли с собой, и по этому не сильно расстроились. С нами поехал и друг старшего сына. Он обрадовался, что карту взял. Но на кассе она не сработала. Тогда кассир попросила его дать социальную карту и выдала ему бесплатный билет!!!! Вот тогда я возмутился. Как так то???? Мы многодетные тоже имеет социальные карты, но кассир ничего не спросила у нас о них. Скрыла от нас информацию о возможной скидке что по карте Москвёнок что по социальной карте!!!! Обманули. И не стыдно ей было. Видишь ли мы сами виноваты, что не спросили. Это как вообще так???? Пришлось через заявление возвращать деньги и оформлять новые билеты. Потратили при этом кучу времени и нервов. Да и ещё, НИКАКОЙ информации ни у кассы на стенде, ни на сайте музея о скидках для школьников по картам Москвёнок или по социальной карте НЕТ!!! Я считаю это...

Креативное, завораживающее пространство. Музей впечатляет! Узнали много интересного и нового.

Из минусов :( 1.Экскурсия назначена на 10.00 , при подтверждении брони попросили приехать заранее немного, как итог вход в павильон ровно в 10.00 ,мерзнем 20 минут на улице. Зачем делать экскурсии с 10.00 если войти раньше не нельзя? При покупки билетов экскурсовод начинает нас подгонять - Вы теряете время от экскурсии ( очень интересно). Неожиданно у экскурсовода села батарейка на микрофоне, нам слышно и без но ровно до того момента когда рядом оказываются другие экскурсии ( т.е. примерно спустя 10 минут от начала). Наш гид постоянно смотрела на часы , и создавалось впечатление что мы опаздываем и должны срочно менять локацию. Мы даже вопросы не задавали, хотя они у нас были.

Возможно, стоит сместить время начала экскурсий , или открывать выставку чуть раньше что бы избежать...
