Go ahead, steal my Singapore top 10 list below to help plan your next visit to this vibrant metro in Southeast Asia.👇🏼 CLOUD FOREST A climate-controlled tropical wonderland enclosed in a massive greenhouse dome that houses a stunning waterfall, lush vegetation, orchids, rare plant species and more. FORT CANNING A hilltop park that is home to gardens, trails and historical landmarks, but it’s an underground spiral staircase at the Tree Tunnel that has made the place Insta famous. GARDENS BY THE BAY Gardens by the Bay is Ferngully meets Avatar with its futuristic Supertrees measuring 25 and 50 meters tall. THE JEWEL Elaborate shopping mall connected to the airport. Inside is the iconic rain vortex, a lush forest valley, shopping cafes and restaurants. JOO CHIAT PERANAKAN HOUSES Small neighborhood in Singapore made up of pastel patterned homes. KAMPONG GLAM The quarter is where you’ll find the beautiful Masjid Sultan Mosque, as well as quirky Haji Lane. MICA BUILDING The building has 927 windows that have been painted the colors of the rainbow - an absolute kaleidoscope of color. PALAWAN BEACH This popular beach on Sentosa Island offers up a crescent bay of calm water lined with palm trees and tropical greenery. RESIDENCE OF TAN TENG NIAH A colorful Chinese villa in Little India - one of my favorite buildings in Singapore. SINGAPORE BOTANICAL GARDENS This dazzling botanical garden is almost 170-years old. It’s here you’ll find the lush green fauna archways, inside the National Orchid Garden. #singapore #singaporetrip #gardensbythebay #cloudforest #thejewel #singaporetravel

Katong and Joo Chiat are one of the main areas in Singapore where you can still have a taste of Peranakan lifestyle. The hint of Peranakan heritage can be found in rows of shophouses and residential houses that have accents that are distinctively Peranakan. These terrace houses on Koon Seng Road (near the intersection of Joo Chiat Road and Koon Seng Road) had been gazetted by Urban Redevelopment Authority for conservation. The main difference between the facade of old and now will be the colourful splash of colours on them. The final output looks like one of Peranakan favourite snack - the Rainbow Keuh Lapis. The houses are beautiful to look at with vibrant splash of colours and totally Instagram worthy.
