Me and my boyfriend visited Besenova aqua park. My boyfriend had a ski pass and go pass card but due to the rain he didn't ski so we decided to go to Besenova thermal pool. At the entrance we asked if someone speaks English or Ukrainian or Russian as we don't understand local language. Consultant told us nobody speaks the languages mentioned above and showed us where to buy a ticket. There were a lot of people and when we finally reached the place to buy a ticket the woman at the desk didn't reply in any of the mentioned above languages, took the gopass card, we saw the information on her PC display and she told us to pay the price for two tickets. It seemed to us that on the official website it was written that if we have a gopass card but we didn't ski then the pass to Besenova should be free. But as we don't know local language we could not ask the lady to explain if we were right. We entered aqua park and noticed inside the brochure where it was written that the ticket had to be really free according to the rules of go pass system. We came back to the information desk on the way back after swimming where we found new young English speaking girl. We explained the problem to her and she called another woman that immediately started to blame us, telling that this is our problem that we payed twice instead of having passed for free as per go pass system. We showed a ticket and told they can check the timing of payment, ticket details and even check the cameras to prove that we payed cash but the answer of Besenova representative was "we are not going to play detectives and we will not give you back your money, this is your fault". The behavior of staff was very rude and impolite, nobody even told us "sorry", they were just blaming and blaming us not caring that we are foreign clients who payed them extra money by mistake. Moreover, the staff told that when they take our go pass they don't see any information about if it was used for skiing or not. It means I can ski in the morning and go to Besenova aqua park in the evening for free as Besenova staff can't control it. Is it really like that or the...

I visited Waterpark with my friends as we were staying in Liptovska Stiavnica (Chalupkovo). It was a very hot day, so we decided to go. First thing what shocked me was that there is no choice of Family tickets or group tickets (only 20 people what has to be announced 1w before arrival) - Other thing is service! This is absolutely poor! Once you enter you get a wristwatch which you can use in any place for buying drinks or food. Once you leave, they will check (at the reception) how much you have to pay and then you go. I was charged 2x for lunch I had only once. I wasn’t aware of it. Well, it can happen anywhere, we are all human. But! I wanted to leave and reception told me to pay such amount and I said no as I had my lunch only once. They said they cannot do anything and I have to go where I bought lunch!!! I couldn’t believe it! So, either I sort it out myself or I will pay 2x for what I had once! I went to the place where I had sweet “waffle gofra” and lady said she already closed her till and cannot give me a refund! I thought I am in another world. She said I have to call my operations manager! She did 3x as I said it is urgent and ridiculous and I have 3 crying kids in the car waiting for me. Operations Manager came and said let’s go the grill bar and he will do it. Finally I got my refund but his attitude was like I am asking for his kidney! I went back to the reception and paid the right amount and left. Lastly - nobody apologised to me!!! This was very sad and embarrassing for me as a Slovakian person because I will not recommend such place with this service. Place itself despite being so expensive is great for kids with lots of entertainment and location is beautiful too. But what has to be improve is service! Reception must be able to sort this issue and not to say customer “go & sort it out yourself” - this is...

Fantastic Evening at Besenova Aquapark, But Room for Improvement in Dining

My family and I decided to visit Besenova Aquapark on a Friday evening, starting at 6pm, which turned out to be a brilliant choice. The pools were surprisingly empty at this time, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the wave pool, where we leisurely rode the waves on the rings without any disturbance. The best part was that there were no queues for the slides, so we could experience them all without wasting any time.

The aquapark itself deserves a 5-star rating for its thrilling attractions and overall ambience. Unfortunately, our dining experience didn't quite live up to the excitement of the park. This forces me to give the resort a 3-star rating overall.

As we sat down to eat after a fun-filled evening, we expected a satisfying meal to match the enjoyment we had at the park. Sadly, our expectations were not met. The chicken dish I ordered was dry and tasted old, with a powdery sauce and overly dry rice. It was difficult to finish the meal without feeling queasy.

My children's pasta dishes were not any better. The pasta was terribly soggy, and the sauce lacked both meat and flavour. It was disappointing to see their faces as they tried to eat their meals.

To make matters worse, the staff seemed inattentive when we tried to order. We felt largely ignored, which dampened our dining experience even further.

In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting Besenova Aquapark for a fantastic and fun-filled evening with family or friends. However, it would be wise to explore dining options outside of the resort or pack a meal to avoid disappointment. With a few improvements in the food and service department, Besenova Aquapark could easily become a 5-star...

Now the place is like completely new! They've renewed almost everything, the pools, reorganised some areas, dining room and canteen... The outside pools and the water was amazing, you have options to pick from different pools with different water temperatures, which is amazing. There's also a outdoor bar to which you can swim and enjoy your drink in the hot pool. The inside section has like a rest area, dining room, saunas and a bunch of inside pools - some with waterslides. There's also a "VIP" area. (Massages, feet-eating fish😅 and so on and on) I loved the fact that they have a pay system on your pass. You go somewhere, get something (massage, drink, food..) and you only lean your hand pass (it looks like a watch) to the terminal and you're done. And the end of the day, when you leave you pay everything on your pass. It's very convenient and super easy to use. Downsides: some areas had like this weird extremely slippery flooring and I almost fell a few times. The inside sections could be a little better organized in terms of where something is. + This may be a one-time only experience but during my visit their credit card system crashed, so there was a time window when you couldn't pay with your credit card. Again, this may be a one-time event. I loved everything more or less, the staff was also ok, I loved the fact that they have also a section dedicated to children and babies! The lunch was also great. Atmosphere amazing! Would definitely recommend!

We visited Bešeňová for the first time on a non-descript Monday. We didn't arrive until noon, which was evidently late in the day, based on the fact that nearly all of the lounge chairs were already occupied. It is a huge complex, with many different sections, so if you decide to have a "home base" in one space but then swim somewhere else, your bags/towels are left unattended. Overall, we enjoyed the visit and will likely return. Here are some pointers: *Bring robes if you plan to go in the outdoor pools after sundown in winter/spring--it is freezing outside *The wave pool area (adjacent to the kids' pool/slide area) turns into something of a nightclub at 17:00 (maybe other times on the weekends). It was horrible--loud music, strobe lights... incredibly overstimulating and completely unnecessary. Made it difficult to see where our kids were and, of course, to hear anything if anyone were having trouble swimming. This was by far our biggest con and will prevent us from visiting more regularly. *There are lounge-y "beds" around the perimeters of some of the pools for an additional fee--they would be great for those traveling with young kids who might nap. *The mineral water in the pools outside is brown and stained our bathing suits and skin a clay/terracotta color--it rinses out, but just FYI for anyone planning to wear a light bathing suit *If you're planning to ride the waterslides, there's a long, twisty climb to the top

To be honest, Tatralandia is better. Buy whole day tickets, assuming whole day. Well day starts here at 11. It does take some time finding that on the website. The web site even reports different closing times, depending on chosen language, ranging between 7pm and 9pm. The sign at the park eventually gave us the information. It is 8pm today. Part of the park is under construction. My two kids were quite annoyed once they noticed. On top of that, big slides and water fun opens at 1pm..... So another 1:30h of baby and toddler pools before they can enjoy the wrath of swimming paradise.... Next time Tatralandia.... Sorry Bešeñová. Not worth the money, better of spending a few euros more and drive 5 minutes to Tatralandia.
