Vogel Ski Resort — Attraction in Bohinj

I was going to give 5 starts in overall, but after spending tons of money on the hill for the family we are very disappointed.

The good: The service and the people at the hill are nice all around and they are very helpful. Prices are average, I guess it is the same as other places. In good weather the view is amazing. It is definitely worth to try.

The bad: In good weather (on a Saturday) we arrived around 8 am (1 hours before the slopes open) and then we waited in the line 2 hours just to fit into the very packed cable car. Once we got up it was almost 11 hours, and started to use our day ticket. After 4 pm when we came down with the family, again we took the cable car which took 45 minutes. When we arrived to our car, we got a 100 Euros ticket (if you pay in time, otherwise 200) to pay for the parking. Even the parking operators told us and others to park on the road, since the provided parking spots were full by very early. They definitely knew that we would be fined and still did not warn anyone. Looks like it is a scam system they play with newcomers. There were at least 200 cars ticketed. From this money they collect on the weekends they can easily build more parking spots. Something is not right here, so BE AWARE if it is a weekend and a weather is sunny and you...

Last 5 years us 12 friends come here for the reunion and celebration of friendship. This year when we came to the parking lot an usher guided us where to park and we did so. It was a sunny and beautifull day the ski resort was packed, we jd fun skiing and sun savoring. At the days end when we came back to our car we noticed that we have beed fined for parking. Yes the same one that the usher showed us where to park. And the fine isn’t small it is 200€ and if you pay in the next 8 days it is 100€. Quite high!! Let me point out that we arrived with 3 cars, that means 300€ of fine for us. Our apeal at the cash register did not brougt any positive outcome. Later on we found out that the cable car is privatly owned and that the local council is in some quarrel with the owner of the cable car! Again suffering of the ordinary little people. Thank you Vogel you will never see the 12 of is again!! And if you think carefully it means losing a whole lot more than 12 skipasses, we had accomodation here, had lunch, drinks…. Good recomendation in word of mouth goes a long way but a bad one goes...

All one, fully wide open and awake All at once, past and future here now in present...
