Brdo Castle — Attraction in Kranj

Wonderful and very known place due to frequent statesman visits and political events. However, the beauty is not in the facility itself, but in the surrounding park, which is packed with tranquility and silence. Visitors can walk or rent a golf car and spend a few hours relaxing, meditating, or watching fish drifting in green lakes.

You can also visit the stable with magnificent Lipican horses or purchase a picnic basket and enjoy some local food in tree shadows.

Within the Brdo Estate there is small cost to enter the overall grounds the castle resides in. The grounds around the castle are spectacular and beautifully manicured. The castle is not open to the public and seems used for events. That said you can get close up and even go on it s magnificent patio. The castle is fully restored. As you approach there are many placards providing the centuries of history.

Green English style park for walking and enjoying the views. There is a cafe near the entrance where you can drink a coffee with sweets/ice-cream. No dogs allowed. Also no bicycles/rollers.
