Strunjan Beach — Attraction in Upravna enota Piran / Unità amministrativa Pirano

The parking is horrific, could pay only with coins as I have no Slovenia phone number for SMS. The app did not work as I could not register my Mastercard to pay with it. So I ended up asking around to change for coins, nobody had the at the bar also they could not help, finally a delivery van chauffer managed to help me out of this inconvenience. Strange in EU that you cannot pay directly at the parking machine by card. Funny that you can pay coffee and soda at the machines by card tho 😄🤦‍♂️ 2023

However beach is clean with good facilities but rather crowded even late in the afternoon. NOT one of my favorites...

Nice organised ⛱️ beach with restaurant. You can hire the chair for 9 euro and rest in a shadow of pine wood. Beach grounds are covered with gravel stones, so bathing shoes are recommended. Good for families with kids. You can walk around in the shadow. But be careful with time planning, while you can get a nice parking place for 18 eurov per day ( 1,8 per hour) , if you are there before 10.00 in july and august. In absence of boats the water is clean. Beautiful view to the city of Piran...

Typical beach with overpriced stands and restaurants nearby, the swimming area is overcrowded (visited in july, so it’s understandable) and jumping/snorkeling is prohibited, the water probably doesn’t have anything in it in terms of sea life We went there for water then moved back to our camp above Mesečev Zaliv, which is more natural.
