Gostilna Strunjan — Restaurant in Upravna enota Piran / Unità amministrativa Pirano

We waited 45min to get such a simple dish as “čevapčiči with french fries”. Stuff extremely rude, foreigner tourists preferred over Slovenian...when I asked after 30min of patiently waiting and the table next to us that came way later already received their orders the waiter just replied “you will just have to wait” and even, later on, they continued giving us some inappropriate, even sarcastic remarks as we complained over long waiting times.

Food is very average, interior old + they don’t even have a normal menu or a QR code to scan it (as almost every restaurant nowadays has due to COVID restrictions). The menu is just written on a small blackboard near the entrance, and it’s tough to read since it’s all very messy. When I asked the waitress what the dish is, because I couldn’t understand it, they were obviously annoyed.

This place is only full because of the location. Otherwise, they would never have so much traffic. I do not recommend this place. There are way better restaurants on the...

We went from Piran to The Moon Bay, and decided to look for a Restaurant on the way. We Googled it, and there was not a lot to choose from so found this one and stopped at the parking near by. 1 hour was free but we had to put the starting time on the windscreen. To be honest the staff wasn't too friendly, when we started speak in english, they looked at us like we were aliens :D Probably they prefer German and Slovenian I don t know. We ordered 2 chicken breast with french fries but they served 2 big fishes. Probably we were misunderstood. They swapped it pretty fast but they just were not friendly. A secret tip for all seafood lovers.

We found this place by chance. The service is great - got seated immeadeately upon arrival and got the menu right away (avaible in Slowenian, German and English). The food came really quickly, it was hot, fresh and delicious - no matter if soups, pasta, seafood or desert, we were really happy with our food choices. The value for money ratio is really good. They were so friendly, we felt right at home. Thank you and Hvala!
