Ferrarijev vrt — Attraction in Upravna enota Sežana

Ferrarijev vrt je bil zgrajen v obdobju obeh vojn kot del vile Ferrari, v lasti tržaškega zdravnika Enrica Ferrarija, ki je v Štanjelu želel zgraditi podeželsko vilo in sanatorij za pljučne bolnike.

Maks Fabiani je Ferrarijev vrt zasnoval terasasto, po strukturi starega Štanjela. Na terasah so bili zasajeni zelenjavni in cvetlični vrtovi, drevje je bilo večinoma sredozemskih vrst.

Arhitekt se je pri gradnji prilagajal legi in obliki terena. Uporabljal je tako tradicionalne, za kraško pokrajino značilne kamnite podporne zidove in stopnišča, kot tudi elemente, ki s Krasom nimajo nič skupnega, odražajo pa ideale tistega časa. Tako so nastali razgledni paviljon, vodometi, umetna votlina … Najbolj prepoznaven del vrta pa je ovalni bazen z otočkom, v katerega je pritekala voda iz zapletenega vodovodnega sistema.

Danes je Ferrarijev vrt kulturni spomenik državnega pomena. Zaradi svoje edinstvenosti je izjemno prizorišče za številne dogodke.

The Ferrari garden was built during the period between the two wars as part of the Villa Ferrari, owned by the Trieste doctor Enric Ferrari, who wanted to build a country villa and a sanatorium for lung patients in Štanjel. Max Fabiani designed Ferrari's garden terraced, according to the structure of the old Štanjel. Vegetable and flower gardens were planted on the terraces, and the trees were mostly Mediterranean species. The architect adapted to the position and shape of the terrain during the construction. He used both traditional karst landscape-specific stone support walls and staircases, as well as elements that have nothing in common with the Karst, but reflect the ideals of the time. That's how the lookout pavilion, the fountains, the artificial cave... The most recognizable part of the garden is the oval pool with the islet, into which water flowed from the complex water system. Today, ferrari's garden is a cultural monument of national importance. Due to its uniqueness, it is an exceptional venue for many events.

Il giardino Ferrari fu costruito nel periodo tra le due guerre come parte della Villa Ferrari, di proprietà del medico triestino Enric Ferrari, che voleva costruire una villa di campagna e un sanatorio per i pazienti polmonari a Štanjel. Max Fabiani ha progettato il giardino terrazzato della Ferrari, secondo la struttura del vecchio Štanjel. Orti e giardini fioriti sono stati piantati sulle terrazze, e gli alberi erano per lo più specie mediterranee. L'architetto si è adattato alla posizione e alla forma del terreno durante la costruzione.
