This was one of our most favorite places we had the pleasure of experiencing in Slovenia. The wine and prosciutto/cheese board were exceptional but it was Igor that made us feel welcome and right at home. The views from the terrace are breathtaking and the local wine and food are delicious and a great introduction to the nuances of the region. The staff will make sure you have the right wine for your taste and will likely share a story or two about its background!

Arriving in Stanjel we have been fascinated by this wonderful place, located on a terrace with a perfect view on the hills of the region. The owners are super nice and kind, showing how they care in every single detail, explaining the ‘story’ of the wine and the food and providing precious suggestions on what to do in the region. We tasted a local red wine from Teran region and local cheese and ham with a super tasteful homemade bread, everything was delicious! The only pity was that we couldn’t come back again as our bicycle trip had to continue the day after, but we look forward to come back again to this...
