An excellent hidden gem in Cape Town for anyone with young kids. The museum is friendly and engaging from the moment you enter through the gate. The staff are welcoming, passionate and knowledge. The museum itself has something for all kids, our 2 year-old enjoyed the jungle gym, swings, large selection of toys to play with, story room and craft room. There are even more educational activities for older children. Some of the older and more established museums can definitely learn something about creating an engaging space for learning from this independently run...

This is my daughter’s absolute favourite place and such an incredible blessing. So many wonderful things for kids to do and explore. A stunning reading room, a wonderful arts and crafts room, a great jungle gym and swings outside, not to mention lots of toys! All there for kids to play with. And all for no charge. It’s an absolute haven for little ones and we love it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well kept and clean. I highly recommend this to anyone...

Incredible place to take your kids for an outing, especially on a rainy day. Every room has a different theme and different activities that you and your child can do - drawing, exploring toys, books, interactive art work, etc. And an outdoor play area. Many nannies bring the kids here for a playdate - It's free including coffee and tea! We spent the morning here - me, nanny, my 2 year old and 4 month old....

This was excellent. 18 Dec 2024. I had the opportunity of teaching the children jewelery making as part off an outreach to young children in conjunction with Dr Hayley Roberts post doctoral fellow of UCT an expert on bead making and it's history. Here are some of the pics of the jewelery and bead making workshop. There is no cost involved just a fun way of children learning.

A Hidden Gem for Kids – and It's Free! What a wonderful museum for children! It’s the perfect mix of education and fun. There are engaging, informative stations that spark curiosity, plus a great selection of toys and an awesome craft area that kept the kids entertained. I’m still amazed that admission is completely free. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant surprise. Our littles had so much fun exploring, learning, reading books and doing crafts in a comfortable, neat and stimulating setting. Interesting for the parents too. Definitely recommend to families looking to keep the kids busy.
