Always clean. Great for the whole family. Jungle gyms for the kids. Braai areas every where. I would recommend it for any occasion!!! The last time I was there , there was a group of school kids and teachers walking around picking up trash, doing the public and the park and huge favour. My husband is must add lost his phone not even 2 minutes after these pictures were taken, we were seaching every where, retracing our steps and asking every just to find the phone and the security, one in the picture, was the one that picked it up and never hesitated to keeping it or even saying he didn't see it, it's so hard to find honest people who are such hard workers and happy as well. Read moreThe venue for our weekly parkrun, for which I also volunteer. This place could be a GEM for Johannesburg, being in an amazing setting with a mountain backdrop. However, the experience is spoiled greatly by the vast amounts of litter always left behind by other visitors to the park and the raw sewage entering the dam from the suburbs upstream. At our last parkrun for the year, the men's toilets were unusable for so many reasons. The Joburg city municipality is FAILING in its duty to maintain beautiful parks like this. Parkrun volunteers clean up the park, and the employees only come much later and are phlegmatic in their approach...
Read moreMy friend and I arrived at the park and the security guards told us that there’s an entrance fee of R50. I was shocked because I know there’s no entrance fee and I asked “since when is there a fee” and she said “from today” (Sunday). We noticed 3 cars going in without paying, one of the security guards came to us and said they just wanted a donation to fix the toilets because they fixed them and the money was coming from their pockets so they wanted the money back, eventually we got in (without paying) and had to go to the bathroom and to our surprise, the bathrooms weren’t fixed, there was leakage and toilets were blocked...
