Ladysmith Town Hall — Attraction in Emnambithi/Ladysmith Local Municipality

I spent the morning in Ladysmith. With nothing to do but wait for the missus's car to be ready, I decided to visit the Siege Museum. How very interesting, and it was just R9 for pensioners. There are so many stories being told in the displays, but my favourite was about the three Long Tom field guns the Boers used. Muesum gives a detailed run through of the 2nd Boer War. Not too long that it bores you, but no to short that one feels odd. PERFECT. The guns and maps on display are extremely insightful. Since it is Ladysmith there is a lot of information on the battles and siege of Ladysmith. It is very well explained and is put into perspective with the large circular map in the one room which points out all the locations and battles during it's siege with...

A small museum that packs a punch about the Ladysmith Siege and some context around the Anglo-Boer conflict.

Some of the information jumps a bit from the previous display making it a bit confusing to follow. Signage in Afrikaans and English.
