The municipality is getting a grip of the place. They built a strong fence around it and access is strictly controlled. Entrance fee R40 per person. It is beautiful, lots of greenery and wonderful fish. Once they also get rid of the rubbish that has accumulated on the past it will become 5 stars again. Entrance is from Fontein Street only. If the big entrance gate is closed, just go to the exit gate and enter on foot from there. Definitely worth seeing! Opening times: Mon-Fri 7:30-16.00 Sat 8.00-15.00 Sun closed

Natural wonder! A pity it is not maintained properly! The place is dirty! A lot of litter around.

Decided not to go in as the parking area was riddled with rubbish. Blame it on the 1st of Jan celebration and weekend.... Plus there's a sign at entrance that says in big red letter "High Crime Area"... pity... the pond looks very pretty with all its lilies... if at least the parking could be paved, there wouldn't be so...

Nice place to visit. Gate personnel were not very friendly. We came from very far and wanted to go in. But they refuse because it was still 15min before they open. And all there is, is a open parking and the hole of water that you could see from the road. We still had a long way to...
