What a shame stumbling on to this post. or these posts. With reference to the post on 30 Nov 2021 about waiting for 40 min etc etc.. and some other.... I remember also being there that day and the restaurant WAS extremely busy at that time. If I remember correctly = bikers doing the R62... Coming from hospitality I know that you often get a sudden full house seating as we call it. It can be and is always overwhelming though for the kitchen and staff when this happens and they do not always know how to react. Remember - we are still in COVID and hospitality must manage their minimum staff requirements and all the other pandemic protocol. Having said that we had a great time, drank great wine, had great conversation, went with the flow and waited our turn and enjoyed the food, ambiance and company. I remember the verbal debacle very well. I also remember that the people/group or person leaving without paying for the drinks bill they consumed. What a shame!!!! Read moreWe went grape picking at De krans. Wonderful experience for my little one and a price of R9. 50 p/kg it was a bargain. Went for a quick bite to eat. Not a great variety of food but decently priced. We shared a cheese platter and a bottle of their sweet white wine. Ended up buying 3 bottles at a very good price and some of their bottled figs. BTW this is the first time we paid under R100 for a bottle of good quality wine at a restaurant. Wil definitely go back. Thank you to the waitress for friendly effecient service. Only thing you can add is a menu for kids. This time around I forgot to take pics of the food and restaurant as my...
