Not a nice experience! The first fish tank area had an unpleasant smell. Some tanks were leaking. Couldn't see the fish clearly. Did not see air filters in most tanks...some fish looked lifeless. Second fish tank area...plants are dead, water is not clean and some fish looked like they have rotting fin disease. One fish that swam by, had a 'hole' in his face...looked like a rotting disease too? The birds looked ok and cared for. It was only the pelicans who had a tiny stream of water. Would think they need a pond/dam? As an animal lover, I was so sad when I left the place today...we did not even consider going to the bird park which was included in our...

Had excellent experience, really love the seal and crocodile and pelican tour. When you buy a ticket you get a free ticket for the bird park down the road. I loved to walked trow the aquarium especially the big ones where you can get the real effect of what the ecosystem look like in the dam. Animal very well looked after. Very clean enclosures and water. Very friendly staff as well. Will definitely visit again.

Also went to the bird park, have beautiful birds and n walk in cage where you can see the cape vultures up an close. Bird park need some improvement but animals looks nice and healthy. They also have some monkeys and meerkate and...

Compact, well laid out aquarium, definitely worth a visit. The larger indoor display venue has about 20 smaller tanks displaying smaller fish species. The larger tank with viewing windows allows bigger fish to swim more freely. Outside there are various turtles, ducks, pelicans, crocs and a large alligator on display. With a bit of luck you'll get to see Pamela, the Cape fur seal perform. Pamela also comes out onto the grass so that you can touch her and take photos with her. The staff take pride in keeping the facility up to scratch and you'll come away with a smile on your face. Be prepared to spend about...

Pam, the seal is seventeen years old and a real sweetheart. She couldn't be returned to the wild because of a problem with her vision. The aquarium showcases a variety of fresh-water fish. A number of crocs, alligators, monitor lizards, tortoises, turtles, pelicans, water mongoose, swans, and ducks call the park home. Thanks to Lovemore, our guide, who lives up to his name, showing a whole lot of love to the critters in his care. A ticket gets you into both the Aquarium and Makalani Bird Park (a couple of kms away).
