Very well laid out place with lots of information displayed on the hardships and atrocities which were endured by women during the many wars in South Africa's violent past. Also there's testimony to the courage displayed by women during difficult times. Well worth a visit! Allow yourself at least half a day there though and if possible bring a local guide who can bring it all to life for you. We had Mr Tony Horn with us who's passion and knowledge of South Africa's history was both infectious and...

Thank you for preserving this piece of history for us to learn more about. ☺️ Every wall piece, statue and item is well looked after. The museum is neat, clean and tidy, as well as the bathrooms. I am very impressed with the condition of the entire property. The parking is secure and the property is safe, with lots of security. All staff and security are very professional and efficient at their job. This was my first visit and definitely not my last. The next time I'm in Bloem, I will be...

An impressive, well presented and maintained monument and museum with massive historical impact. A shining example of cultural pride and excellence which stands out in the face of an otherwise scruffy poorly maintained modern South Africa, a pity our country and rampant vandalism has become the normal tolerated standard in so many public places. Every South African, especially those who feel their race was unjustly persecuted or disadvantaged in any way, should visit this place.

Each time I have visitors and they want to see more of Bloemfontein, the National Women's Memorial and War Museum forms part of the outing. The huge garden has lots of place for children to run free. The gardens and facilities are all well maintained. The museum is well kept and you need a day or two to read and browse through all the items on display inside the museum. Thanks for keeping it up to date and relevant.
