This was the highlight of our quick escape. I phoned in advance to make sure they are open since it was around the Christmas/new years period. It was easy to find and an absolute thrill. I've never done rock climbing so we opted for an introductory course (R150). This included all gear, a 'lesson' and access to the whole gym for the day. The course was personalised and took everyone in account. The instructor was patient when we were taught how to tie the knots and how to excercise proper caution. After we 'graduated' he intermittently came to check on us and our safety. Overall it was very thrilling and something I would definitely do again and recommend anyone to do. Obviously fitness is required and a fear of heights, is not encouraged. It was a wonderful experience I would live to repeat. 👍👌👍👌👍👌

My first time at Valley Crag! I had such a lovely time with my friends here!!! Although, I would recommend that you warm up your wrists if you've never been. My wrists were protesting for days. They have climbing shoes for you and chalk for good grip. You have options as to the difficulty level to which you're exposed. You can climb with or without a harness and there are lockers to store your personal effects. You can purchase water for when you're dying from your workout. The staff are extremely patient and encouraging. I will definitely check it out again. Visit their website to choose the type of climbing experience best for you.

It was my first time climbing, and I didn't even feel it! Everyone was super helpful, and soon enough I had gotten the hang of it. It's a great environment where everyone is offering their support, sharing their wisdom and advice, giving climbing tricks and tips. You never feel out of place or as an outsider. Absolutely loved the experience! Will be visiting more frequently. I also attended the Bubbly tasting Yoga experience with Kez and The wineshed. What an amazing time we had, tasting different bubbly wines whilst immersed in deep relaxing yoga ! This is a combo everyone should experience in their lifetime.

We want to thank the ValleyCrag team for the most memorable 8th birthday party for our son Liam. Everyone enjoyed it so much, all the kids and the parents watching too. Everything was just perfect. The instructor Sihle deserves a 10star rating, he was awesome with the kids and at how he explained everything and even in Afrikaans at times to accommodate everyone. Both instructors were great. The guy hanging upside down received a big applause from all of us, great skills. Thank you again to everyone involved at ValleyCrag. Kind regards Brendon, Marilize & Liam Pattinson

A must-visit indoor activity for tourists with families/couples with an adventurous streak! Perfect outing for cloudy / rainy days! Kids allowed to climb from 7 years up only. They made an exception for our 4 yr old when it was abit quiet. Entrance fee is +-R160 p/person. Closes at 8.30 pm. Kids really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Now this is a great place for anyone who wants to climb indoor, from a rank beginner to a Derek Marshall type climber. There is something for everyone to climb. I find them very friendly and quick to offer a belay or simple guidance on what to do. End it off with a quick coffee and chat before departing.
