What a wonderful hidden gem this place is, nestled in nature! That's why it's a garden club, and the view around you is stunning. The room where they craft gin and the equipment is interesting and looks really clean, just as it should be. Now, you might be wondering about the food. Well, my WAGYU burger was the juiciest burger ever, full of flavor! The way they stack the burger and the toppings they put on it were just fantastic. I believe everything on the burger is as fresh as it can be. The burger was a little bit difficult to eat because of its size; there was no way I could fit that in my mouth! So please do use a knife and fork. My girlfriend said that the mushroom and chicken pasta was really great, even better than at an Italian restaurant. I was shocked, but hey, it really does say they are good! Lastly, the cappuccino beats that of a popular coffee restaurant (I can't disclose names, sorry). That cappuccino lets you taste the coffee and cream, and two seconds later, the chocolate comes through, everything is well balanced in that cup; nothing overpowers each other. That cappuccino I rate a 1 in SA for me, and that burger—so please do try this place out! The restaurant just needs to drop certain food prices that are over R170. A R30 drop would be more reasonable; then I'll give it 5 stars. That's all—just a small bump...

I had anticipated going to Garden Club would be a positive dining experience based on prior reviews made by other people who once visited there, however my visit to the establishment left me notably disappointed. Arriving around lunchtime today (23/12/2023), I was attended by a waitress who lacked basic courtesy, she didn’t even bother to greet or introduce herself, instead maintained a consistently displeased demeanour throughout. Ordered myself asian wings as a starter (image attached) , which were delicious I won’t lie then decided due to the terrible service and unwelcoming atmosphere, I should make my main a takeaway. I settled the bill , wasn’t given copy of proof of payment btw and left cause I was just pissed of by that time. I got home and to my surprise I wasn’t served the mushroom pasta I had asked for instead I was served something else (refer to attached image). I couldn’t even eat it cause it tasted like leftovers and wasn’t appetising at all.

The place is aesthetically pleasing however it seems excellent customer service is reserved for certain individuals which is very unfortunate. For someone who’s visiting in PE and had hopes of exploring places like yours , following my experience I’m certain I’d never recommend Garden Club to...

This restaurant is beautifully set up in the valley. I like the decoration style and the beautiful earthy look. When you go in, there is no clear indication of where the entrance is. We figured that the entrance was the side door. We walked in a vibrant busy setup I did not feel welcome. Perhaps waiters have forgotten that they can smile. I had made a booking but that did not seem to have mattered as we were ushered outside. Our waiter was not very friendly and we felt rushed to decide. The vegan meals were pricey and the portion sizes were small. My friend ordered a non-vegan item and that was small portion too. Bathroom was not well maintained. Empty toilet rolls and no extra toilet paper. Bottles of soap not labelled. No notice that there is no water in taps. Over-priced and unfriendly staff. Will not be visiting...
