Bushveld Atlantis — Attraction in Nkomazi

My family had a blast at this park! The slides were a bit daunting at times, but a little risk makes things more fun in my opinion. The 8 of us range in weight from 150-210 lbs (68-95kg). No one got hurt except for a scrape or two and we all used the slide countless times. The management was very sweet and friendly and even set up a hose to water the slide since the power went out right after we arrived. We also enjoyed the mini golf course, though we had it all to ourselves both times we played. I believe the price was R55 or about $3.50 US for both the slides and mini golf, with unlimited games for the mini golf. It closes at 5pm, btw. I don’t often leave reviews, and I don’t like complaining about things - but I felt personally compelled after going to Bushveld Atlantis today. That slide is great for children and persons under about 40kg. An excellent idea for children but caution if your an adult.

Any heavier, like myself, expect a harrowing experience littered with roasties and near ejections from the slide! (Even if you adhere to all the rules!)

The fees are ridiculous. We paid R150pp. The website said R80pp and R60 pensioners rates, the should not advertise rates that are not correct. The staff are great though. The braais are all rusted through. The heated pool is exactly like my bath water. There is not really a cool pool for swimming because the slides are in the "cool" pool.
