Heads up to future bridal couples. Natte Valleij has beautiful gardens, but our wedding experience in April was disappointing in many respects. The cellar reception area was meant to be repainted before wedding season (including ours), but that never happened.
As dog lovers, we chose the venue for its pet-friendly policy, but dogs roamed freely around our accommodation before and during the wedding. One venue dog was aggressive toward ours, meaning he had to be leashed and kept indoors — very unfair considering he was meant to be part of our day.
There were also multiple venue viewings while we were setting up, which felt invasive, and dog mess was left around the property until an hour before the ceremony. We had to point out areas to be cleaned, which was unpleasant and stressful.
Most concerning was a staff member’s behaviour: he lurked around the reception, filmed the afterparty without permission until we had to stop him, harassed my husband via calls and WhatsApps from different numbers, knocked on our accommodation door the money after the wedding demanding money his assistance, and continued to contact us late at night even weeks after the wedding.

The Henhouse, which we stayed in, seems as if it was transformed to provide accommodation in the cheapest way possible. The doors, especially the back door is low and you every time bump your head if you forget to bend.||The water pipes leak and the handles of some of the taps are loose. The basin for dishes looks like the basins used by the old laboratories. It is chipped and patched and certainly knows better days. The shower has no door or curtain with the result that the floor is wet after use. On entry I was under the impression that the basin for dishes and the bath are dirty, but after some inspection I found it to be damaged over time. i Maybe the owners should be honest and specify what they do no offer such as an electric kettle, a tv, no decoder or digital channels, etc. It is time-consuming to boil water on the stove. This place is clearly overpriced. I would not book in there again or recommend the place for anybody. this is my...
