There’s a quiet charm to Lievland Cafe that makes it one of those places I find myself returning to again and again. Whether I’m meeting someone for a thoughtful conversation, catching up on work over breakfast, or simply pausing for a late afternoon coffee, it always feels just right. The menu is honest and beautifully prepared, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a real sense of care in every detail.

The setting, nestled within the vineyards, offers a calm that’s hard to come by, and the team strikes that rare balance of warm, discreet, and genuinely attentive. Over time, it’s become a trusted space, somewhere I’m always comfortable bringing guests, or simply enjoying a moment to myself.

Liefland Café is set in a really tastefully converted old wine cellar and offers an exceptional dining experience. Their breakfast and lunch menus are impressive, with the muscles and canelé standing out. Their wine selection and particularly the unique cinsault cap classique, is truly remarkable. Amazing breakfast! I hadn't heard of Lievland before, but stopped in on the spur of the moment with hungry husband and daughter. Great setting, beautifully fitted out restaurant and wonderful staff, but oh, the food! Daughter had posh muesli with honey and figs, husband had full English and I had a bacon and spinach pancake baked with cheese - all utterly delicious. The venue is tucked away behind Wiesenhof - who knew it was there?! Highly recommended - would make a great venue...
