I have just visited Ardmore with my husband. Blown away and creatively inspired do not even do the experience justice. The pieces themselves are absolutely breathtaking , watching the talent and amazing people make the pieces is even more inspiring and I am absolute awe of the skill and passion that I witnessed being put into practice. On top of all of this however, I would like to mention the Gentleman managing the gallery -Fiso. He truly made mine and hubbys experience one to remember and has instilled that love for Ardmore in the both of us! - thank you for showing us around, sharing your knowledge and being so welcoming! We will...

Stopped in at Ardmore Ceramics & Design today on the way home, a lovely opportunity to see some of the amazing ceramic art created by locals all in a beautiful country setting. The pieces are sensational each piece hand painted not a single little detail missing. They are all unique and are a true reflection of Mama Africa and her heritage in a very unique style. The museum is extraordinary with some pieces dedicated to lost artists. African animals and human themes, We bought some masks ... 😉 worth a visit at least or twice in a lifetime, especially if you are a collector of...

Please be advised this gallery and workshop is not closed; they simply moved to Caversham Road in Lidgetton (exact coordinates: 29°24'49.6"S 30°05'34.5"E)

I wasn't sure what to expect when arriving at Ardmore Ceramic and was pleasantly surprised to discover this little gallery and workshop. From textiles to ceramic sculptures and dinner plates, their patterns are incredibly colorful and unique. Out back, you can visit the workshop where they are busy creating these beautiful sculptures. A must see for anyone who likes art and is traveling through the...

We were told about Ardmore by a friend we made at Piggly Wiggly. She told us we would not regret paying them a visit. The setting of the gallery is already scenic; on the Ardmore farm with the backdrop of the Drakensberg, even the drive there is fun. There's something so wholesome about Ardmore and their artwork. Knowing that each piece is unique, specifically designed and speaks to the truth of the artist behind it, makes it much more than just a beautiful piece of art... We really loved being able to see the artists working on their next pieces right there.

If practice makes perfect , this exceptional ladies team have been working for 1000 years. The level of dedication and detail on each and every work of art is just mind-blowing. How proud we can be of the exceptional talent this beautiful country has. You are not buying an artwork alone , but a vision of a woman started in 1985 passed down decade after decade. Passion and Pride are words that come to mind. Thank you Feé and Team ! We started collecting in late 90's and love our journey.
