웅부공원 — Attraction in Andong-si

안동대도호부의 옛터, 웅부공원

이곳은 현재의 도 단위 격인 고려·조선시대 안동대도호부와 경북 동북부 17개 군을 관할하던 안동 관찰부, 안동시로 통합되기 전 안동군청이 자리잡고 있던 곳으로, 안동의 영광과 애환이 깃든 그야말로 역사의 산실이다.

안동군청사에 걸려 있던 안동웅부" 현판은 당대의 명필이던 공민왕이 홍건적의 난을 피해 안동에 머무를 때 성심으로 섬겨준 안동 사람들에 대한 고마움을 담아 직접 쓴 글씨로 "웅장하게 큰 고을"이란 뜻을 담고 있다. 안동 사람들의 자부심이 깃든 이 현판은 1995년 시·군 통합과 함께 건물이 철거되면서 안동민속박물관으로 옮겨지고, 오랜 세월 안동의 숨결이 고스란히 배어 있는 이곳은 안동시민의 휴식공간인 웅부공원으로 거듭났다.

이곳에는 옛 관아의 모습을 본 뜬 동헌인 영가헌과 문루인 대동루가 있고, 대동루 오른쪽에 상원사 동종을 재현한 시민의 종이 설치된 종각이 있다. 특히 시민의 종은 안동 시민의 자발적인 성금으로 마련되었으며, 웅부공원이란 이름 역시 역사성과 전통성이 담긴 명칭을 공모한 결과 명명된 것으로, 찬란했던 안동의 옛 명성을 되찾길 바라는 안동인들의 간절한 염원과 남다른 자부심이 곳곳에 배여 있다. 현재 이곳은 시민들의 휴식공간으로서의 역할은 물론 전통혼례, 고택음악회, 조선시대에 행해졌던 양로연, 무과 재연 등 각종 문화 행사가 열리는 문화예술공간으로도 사랑받고 있다.

早!雄府公園, Woongbu Park

This park occupies a site rooted in the history of Andong's glory, joy and sorrow. The headquarters of Andong Daedohobu (an administrative unit) from the Goryeo to Joseon Dynasty and then the site of Andong's regional authority, when it had jurisdiction over 17 areas in the northwestern part of Gyeongbuk Province, was located here.

Until recently, the name board -Andong Woongbus was attached to Andong's county office, which had been located here but was removed in 1995, when the

city and county were unified, leaving no trace of the site's importance. In this park, Andong City dedicated the Citizens' Bell, which was funded by citizens of Andong and the rebuilted Daedongru and Yeonggaheon pavilions

in their original forms, so that the history of this site could be preserved.

To make this place for the rest and recreation of all citizens, it has been named "Woongbu Park". The name was chosen by the citizens to celebrate Andong's history and tradition.

by Woongbu Park and our legacy as "the Capital of the Korean Spirit",

此处公园是从高丽时代至朝鲜时代结止,历经现在的行政单位“道”格,即昔 称安东大都护府,曾管辖庆北北部17个郡的安东观察府,官衙所在地,是维系著 悠久的安东沧桑历史,荣辱喜欢,存亡共尽,屹立不动之古迹。

过去(安东雄府)四字匾额曾悬挂在此处后建的安东郡厅,郡府里。根据那厅 志记载推测,此处是古时官街旧地,不幸在1995年安东市郡统合为一,那厅旧建 撤除,遗迹难寻。

安东市为了纪年安东传统遗迹地的气息,在此重新复原创建旧官街古建,称永 嘉轩。楼阁称大东楼。并尊市民之盼,集市民之捐资,重铸盖钟阁,题名安东市 民之钟。
