There are two types of beach hugging Waemok - sandy with fine sand and rocky with rocks that will massage your feet, so put on your sneakers instead of slippers. Seagulls will follow you only when you have food. Otherwise, they mind their own business. Lots of shells and interesting rocks to collect if you are into that. If not, you can watch small crabs run around between the stones. Or you an fish, that is also a popular activity around here. It's actually one of the cleanest beaches we've visited in Korea so far. When the tide is low, you can see locals collecting clams. Water is slowly warning up as monsoon season approaches.

Very nice little village. Parking available right at the beach line for free. Sandy beach ๐Ÿ–๏ธGood for kids, your dog(clean after you dog please. Respect the locals.) A lots of fresh seafood restaurants, public restrooms and cool places to take pictures. I went in the winter so I didnโ€™t enjoy the water. 100% recommended. Plus I drove along the coastline and found other cool places to take pictures, several other restaurants and cafes. Thereโ€™s also a lighthouse. One red and one white. Very nice.

I came here with my little baby. She wanted to catch shells so we tried. I didn't know that needed to buy ticket, and I didn't think I would bring shells to home too. Security man came then talked to me this seashore is just for Korean, so I must get out of the beach ๐Ÿ˜ž So sad and so surprised for this. I talked could we play sand only but he talked No, then continue talk "go out, go out"... He stayed there continue waiting us went out there :( So surprised about the hospitality of Korean.
