Not recommended for foreign tourists, Korean water parks have rules which may seem strange to foreigners. Half of the water park was closed with only 4 outdoor slides operating, information about this could not be found online in advance and the ticket price was the same, I believe. For the slides that were working, I was not able to go down any that didn't use an inflatable as my shorts had a small plastic ring attached to them. I could not understand the reasoning for this as one lifeguard said I could go, only for me to be told I can't right before entering the slide. Meanwhile I watched multiple people go down the slides carrying sunglasses loose in their hands, while the plastic ring on my shorts was deemed a safety hazard because "it could come off in the slide and hit someone", made zero sense to me considering someone could easily drop their sunglasses. Never had issues before with these types of shorts before in any other water parks I've been to. It is also mandatory to wear an inflatable vest to enter the wave pool. No where are you told to do this beforehand and you have to rent one from the water park. I believe this is common in Korean culture with regards to water safety but you may find it unusual as a foreign visitor, was quite disappointed. The slides we went on were good but overall it was a very frustrating day and not worth the...
Read moreAmazing Waterpark!! You can have fun the whole day. Even out of season there are still plenty of attractions open. The slides are amazing!! They are all different and bring you much surprise and joy!! The inside river is good too, there are plenty of swimming rings available so it's not hard to get one. The big outside wave pool is also awesome!! There is one big wave every three minutes. There are hot water pools inside and outside so you can warm yourself up after playing in the wave pool. There is a food court too. We had the 떡볶이 and it was good. Only downside is that you have to rent a swimmingvest to enter the big pools inside and outside. It costs extra money, even though the inside pool is so shallow that I don't see a point in wearing the vest (the outdoor pool is very deep so I understand the vest requirement there). But we already payed to enter, so paying again just to use the outside pool is weird to me, I think it should be free. Also you can't pay for the vest with card or phone but instead have to load money onto your wristband chip and...
Read moreGimhae Lotte Water Park is one of the largest water parks in the Busan/Gyeongsang-do area, famous for its massive wave pool (the largest in Korea and second-largest in the world), diverse water attractions, and family-friendly atmosphere. The park offers thrilling rides like the Giant Boomerango, Double Swing Slide, Tornado Slide, and a variety of tube slides, along with a lazy river and both indoor and outdoor zones. Visitors often appreciate the broad selection of rides, good organization of locker and shower facilities, and the adjacent Lotte Outlet for extra shopping and dining options. The South Pacific Polynesian theme, complete with a stage designed as a sailing ship, adds to its vacation vibe, making it a popular choice, especially during summer. The giant wave pool was my favorite. You have to wait at least 40-50 minutes for major rides so be prepared for that. Other than that Gimhae Lotte Water Park is a top summertime destination for those seeking a mix of adventure, relaxation, and entertainment, but it’s best to visit early in the day and...
