Ilsan Lake Park — Attraction in Goyang-si

I spent about 6 months in this area and enjoyed every moment of it. I loved being around the calm moments in the park on the lake and being able to exercise.

It was special to witness the changing seasons here. I recommend taking a break from the tourist areas and spending a day here. It is just off the metro station and about an hour or so away from where most tourists are. I think you can also take a bus, and of course, drive. There are plenty of restrooms around the park too so no worries if you are not staying in the area.

There are festivals as well with vendors who showcase their talents with homemade goods. I bought special heartfelt gifts here that I will cherish. I was also lucky to see my first drone show ever after a fall flower festival I think it was in October. I will definitely...

I'm glad I came here at the right time of the year. They have the World Flower Exhibition, and I spent around four hours inside, enjoying every single part of the event. I think it's worth visiting at least once—you'll fall in love with it! The ticket price is reasonable compared to others, and I even got a discount because I used my public transportation card to get here. The lake is a bit outside of Seoul, and the journey took over an hour. I also took some time to walk along the lake—such a great spot for a medium-length walk! Beautiful Park with walking trails, bicycle trails, cafes, restaurants, flower beds, plants around the lake. There is a very small island in the center, too. There is a greenhouse fpr the cactus plants. In the lake there are Koi fish you can admire and take photos of. Waterfall south rast side of the park. Water fountain in the center of the lake.
