I spent about 6 months in this area and enjoyed every moment of it. I loved being around the calm moments in the park on the lake and being able to exercise.
It was special to witness the changing seasons here. I recommend taking a break from the tourist areas and spending a day here. It is just off the metro station and about an hour or so away from where most tourists are. I think you can also take a bus, and of course, drive. There are plenty of restrooms around the park too so no worries if you are not staying in the area.

Read moreI'm glad I came here at the right time of the year. They have the World Flower Exhibition, and I spent around four hours inside, enjoying every single part of the event. I think it's worth visiting at least once—you'll fall in love with it! The ticket price is reasonable compared to others, and I even got a discount because I used my public transportation card to get here. The lake is a bit outside of Seoul, and the journey took over an hour. I also took some time to walk along the lake—such a great spot for a medium-length walk!
