An interesting museum for history lovers and kids. Our daughter loved the puzzles and coloring. They have strollers, a kids room and a nursery. We had a wonderful time here.

영종 씨사이드 파크, 영종진 공원에 위치한 영종역사관입니다. 월미도, 청라국제도시, 송도가 바다 건너 앞에 펼쳐져 있어, 풍경이 좋습니다. 매주 월요일은 휴관입니다. 그래서 저는 실내에 입장하지 못 하였습니다. 야외에는 소형 고인돌, 대형 빗살무늬토기가 야외에 있으며, 영종진 화포 복제품이 배치되어 있습니다. 영종진은 강화도의 방비를 목적으로 1653년 구읍뱃터 일대에 포대가 배치되었다. 영종진 포대는 기존 화포와 1869년 훈련도감에서 보내 준 지자총통, 대포, 불랑기 포 등이 배치되었다. 그러나 1875년 운요호 사건에서 일본의 포격에 의해 영종진이 파괴되고 화포 36문을 약탈당하면서 실물은 전하지 못 하고 있다. 현재는 김포 덕포진의 대포를 복제한 철제 대포를 배치하였다(출처: 영조진 화포 설명문). 야경도 아름답다고 합니다.

The entry price is very cheap and it is a very small but cute museum. It has a play area for kids and gives a good overview of the history of the island Yeongjong-do. The exhibits are all in Korean and most are also in English (but not all). The staff are super friendly...

It's a history museum where you can learn the history of Yeongjong island from prehistoric era to modern era when Incheon international airport was built. Some historic items and pictures describing the history were displayed. Admission fee is 1K...
