This beach had some nice black sand. Very fine and neat to look at. Not as many folks on this beach as Hamdeok beach, but it is both smaller and located much more residential. When I was there in 27 Sep 2020, there seemed to be a lot of construction around the each which is why it lost a star. Not a ton of benches or places to sit either. Had a few restaurants...

Good for paddling, lying down on the beach and the rocky views nearby. Cons are the sand is really more dark grey, it's not really deep enough to swim (in the permitted area) and it gets extremely hot (the sand is...

검은모래 사장 해수욕장 입니다. 모래사장이 엄청 뜨거워요 김이 모락모락 나는거 보이시죠? 6월의 바닷물이 뜨거운 모래에 닿아서 김이 날정도 입니다 화상 주의 하셔야 합니다. 저는 맨발로 걸어가다 벌겋게 달아올라서 깜짝 놀랐어요 ~^^;

This is a beach very close to Jeju city center. If you want to enjoy the beach for a while at sunset, this is a good choice. It has a good balance between bustling and quiet.
