This is a little architectural gem designed by Portugese architect, Alvaro Siza. Siza, a Pritzker Recepient, regards this project highly. He has put the image of Memesis on the cover page of his large monograph that has been recently published. The museum is a box with a curvlinear court that opens up to the south. The apex of the experience is in the upper floor gallery. Here Siza introduced a skylight, underneath which there is a light-bouncing reflector that introduces indirect sunlight. As one walks up from seconf floor, this scissor shaped relflector points at you with spreading mysterious light that does not show where the source if light is. The ceiling height of this space is 7m and Siza has designed a space that does not allow any peek through the skylight glass. Siza has designed Anyang Pavillion, Amorae Labs and Guest House in Yongin. This is by far the best of the four projects he did in Korea.
