조용하고 아늑합니다. 단 주차장은 없습니다. 아동들이 좋아하는 축구장도 따로 있고 유아용 놀이터도 따로 있습니다. 여름에는 음악분수에서 아이들이 놀기도 하고 화장실과 관리실도 갖추고 있습니다. 긴 언덕이 아래 상업지역까지 이어져 아이들이 킥보드 타고 놀기도 좋습니다. 오토바이 출입금지 문구가 마음에 듭니다.

오래 되긴 했지만, 분당이 1993-4년에 지어진 걸 생각하면 시대적 계획이 얼마나 앞서 갔는지 알 수 있는 공원임. 그러나 공원 이름에 대한 유래를 제대로 알기 힘들며, 납득하기도 힘들다는 단점이 있음. 조경학의 전성시대가 도래하기 전 만들어졌기 때문으로 짐작되나, 네리밍 실패의 사례로 들 수도 있겠음. 흔히 생각하는 선진국의 근린공원 조성 이유, 행태가 많이 맞아 떨어진다는 측면에서 중정형 조성 공원의 모범으로서...
