The Yongsan Park Partially Open Site is where the US military officers’ accommodation complex was located previously when the 8th US Army was stationed here in Yongsan, Seoul. Currently, the site was returned to Korea in 2020 and opened to the public after remodeling, making it a popular photo spot. There is still a wall around the site, creating an exotic atmosphere distinct from the surrounding landscape. With a variety of attractions, including a lawn, cafe, open house, playground, and exhibitions, it’s a great place for families with children to visit. I went to college here, and it holds many fond memories. It reminds me of the burritos and pizza I enjoyed at the Town House in the Main Post, the tacos I had at Taco Bell, and the beautiful cherry blossoms that always bloomed in April.
