Absolutely stunning beach. Beautiful crystalline waters even with a bit of wind with lovely soft sand in the middle and rocks at either side of the cove with small fish that swim around in schools and aren't too scared of humans. Good for snorkeling (but not enough rocks or seaweed to warrant going there just for that) though I imagine there are jellyfish in the area from time to time, but didn't see any on our visit.
Water is also slightly warmer than more open beaches such as Alcudia Beach. Also relatively shallow for a fair few metres.
At the time of writing (June/July 2022), the beach bar mentioned in other reviews doesn't appear to exist anymore. There is therefore no kind of place to get a drink or food, and there are also no showers. I docked a star because of this lack of amenities. No bar is okay, but a shower really is needed to help get the sand off.
The beach isn't as small as people make out. It's not wide, but it goes back quite a bit. Nice view of the Bay of Pollença. In late June in mid afternoon the beach had a fair few people but was not at all overcrowded and had a very relaxed atmosphere.
The surrounding area is very residential and there are no bus stops or taxi ranks, nor is there any immediate parking. We got a taxi there but couldn't get one back, so had to walk for 30 mins to Alcudia town and then get a...
Read moreVery nice, small beach. There is free parking in the street, not a lot of walking, not a lot of people at the beach which is so RARE. When you climb on the rocks on the beach, there is a path that leads you to the second beach, Platja de Sa Font de Sant Joan, which is also nice. In San Pere beach water is warm, and in the morning everything is calm, but if wind starts to blow it can be pretty rough in the sand (not in water). Umbrellas start to fly, so you have to be careful. It is similar as in Playa del Muro (with the wind). Colors of the water are not as blue or green as on other beaches, but this beach is nice to visit. Great for parents with small children, and everyone if you need to have some rest...
Read moreI visited on a Sunday around 4 PM, and it was peaceful. There were lots of families with kids and couples, which gave the place a safe atmosphere.
The water has a large shallow area, perfect for wading, and is surrounded by beautiful rock formations. The beach itself has soft sand, the option to rent sunbeds, and a small beach bar. When I was there, there was also a public toilet—not the cleanest and it didn’t smell great, plus the toilet paper had run out—but it was still useful if you really needed it (or pee in the ocean..) Lastly, there are no showers available.
Parking was free and easy to find nearby, at least at the...
