Stumbled across this small beach on a walk from Caleta, which incidentally is worth the lovely peaceful stroll, beach is quiet and picturesque with good rock mooching and a local restaurant plus some quaint looking buildings, right behind the beach you have the salt works and museum with an incredible natural skeleton of a young female fin whale that was woefully killed by ropes around her head. Beautiful little local beach next to the salt fields! Very quaint and quiet with a couple of restaurants. It’s an old rustic style area and we wished we had more time to stay and try one of the restaurants! Great views across the salt pans and a good view of the architectural sculpture! We’ve seen a few of these across the Island and they look stunning! Worth a stroll or a good place for a...

The "salinas" are definitely worth a visit, and the small Muellito beach is nice. But DO NOT EXPECT TO SWIM there. Water is extremely shallow and the bottom is rocky. So this is a place for a nice stroll along the coastline, but forget plunging...
